By now you have probably seen the reflective 911 home address signs on many of your neighbor's mailbox posts.

Made of the same tough materials as road signs these home address signs are so reflective in the dark that members of the Argenta-Oreana Department don't have to struggle to read your address at night.

Burn Day's

Argenta burn day's are Monday's, Thursday's & Saturday's sun up till sun down.

Oreana Burn Days 7 days a week sun up till sun down.

In both Villages you can only burn what grows in your yard such as leaves, branches, grass, etc.

Everett Smith Memorial

The members of the AOFPD would like to thank the family and friends of Everett Smith for their memorial contributions to the department in his name. We will use the money to update fire equipment.

School Road Structure Fire

The members of the AOFPD were paged out tonight to respond with the Maroa Fire Department for a report of a house that had been hit by lightning and the roof was on fire. We responded with Engine-727, Engine-724, Tanker-728 & Squad-729 with 14 firefighters to the scene and 10 on stand-by at both stations. Other departments that responded were Hickory Point, Kenny & Clinton. While we were on scene we were paged out for a tree that had fallen onto a house on Claremont Street in Argenta. We responded with Engine-723 & Rescue-721 with 7 firefighters. We were back in service from both calls at 12:36 AM.
